Designation: Business Development Manager_Male Candidate_Edtech Industry_Field Work
Job Overview:
A Business Development Manager is a sales professional who helps an organization to grow by
identifying and developing new business opportunities. Their duties include searching for new clients,
finding new potential services to offer, and helping the company expand to new customers in the
allocated territory.
Key Responsibilities
 BDM has to be in field majority of the working hours.
 Reporting on the day’s work is compulsory to Reporting manager through
Mail/SMS/whatApp/apart from personal interaction when he is instructed to visit the HO in
Chennai
 To identify new sales leads and pitching our products and services.
 To establish and maintain cordial relationship with new and existing Customers.
 Approach all educational institutions, Organizations and individuals to identify new leads and
potential markets.
 Contact potential Customers to establish rapport and fix appointments and meetings
 Planning and identifying new market initiatives
 Contact Customers to inform about new developments in the Company’s products.
 Visit Customers in and around region for product information and demonstration.
 Conduct Field surveys to identify Customer Requirements
 Support team by making direct calls for leads provided by Tele callers and provide feedback
 Ensure coordination with team by participating in review meetings.
 Team management of Business Development Associates and Executives, allocated under the
manager. Including training and ensuring the Sales targets given is being achieved.
Requirements and skills :
 Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field.
 Proven experience 5 years in channel sales development or a similar role within Education
industry or similar
 Strong understanding of sales strategies and channel partner management.
 Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
 Ability to analyses sales data and market trends to drive decision-making.
 Results-driven with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
 Willingness to travel as needed.
